metaGenes Pte Ltd is a company registered in 2005 in Singapore. Our office and warehouse are located in Tampines Industrial Park.

metaGenes ventures into the field of Research and Development (R&D) in Life Sciences and Technologies. We carry out both basic and applied science research in life sciences such as molecular biology, cell biology, animal research and nanotechnology to name a few. Our technology research includes software and web services, cloud computing and imaging etc.

Most of our research projects are collaborated with individuals, organisations and institutes and we receive our funding from government and private investors.

Our History
metaGenes started as early as 1999 under the name FMW Studio. Back then, FMW Studio was involved in software programming, web designing as well as web and email hosting, during the time when internet and personalised webpages were booming. Towards 2002, FMW Studio stopped its hosting services and focused on software and web solutions.

By 2005, our name was changed to metaGenes and was officially registered as a private limited company in Singapore.

In the late 2009, metaGenes decided to cease its software programming and designing services and reshifted its focus. We have a new logo now and we venture into R&D as well as providing courses and workshops on life sciences and technologies.
